We provided "LIQUID AR" for an exhibition held by Moso Koen.
A new kind of exhibition where the art on site merges with AR!
Moso Koen takes the park, a place open to everyone, as its motif and gives form to the artists' daydreams as playground equipment.
Incorporating the perspective of universal design, it is an exhibition that draws just a little closer to various kinds of inconvenience.
Marker AR was used on the exhibition flyer, and spatially aware AR that merges with the objects was used at the exhibition venue.
Because we heard from people who could not come to the venue due to the pandemic,
and because the organizers wanted people who could not attend for various reasons, such as living far away, to enjoy it too, the AR was made available for an extended period at short notice.
Comment: Having experienced the inconveniences of the pandemic, we wanted to create an exhibition that draws just a little closer to the many inconveniences that exist in the world, and so we decided to take on webAR using the internet so that people could take part in the exhibition anytime, from anywhere.The official site URL is here.
We used two kinds of AR, marker AR and spatially aware AR. With marker AR in particular, we received help many times over with fine adjustments to the marker creation and to the height at which the AR appears. The fact that LIQUID DESIGN's AR is app-free was also a big deciding factor for us, and when visitors actually used the spatially aware AR at the exhibition venue, the AR appeared smoothly just by scanning a QR code, and we were able to see people of a wide range of ages, from children to adults, express surprise and clearly enjoy themselves.
In addition, using the same AR QR code that we posted on the official Moso Koen site as the one at the venue, we have had reports on social media, with photos and videos, of people enjoying the original AR as far north as Hokkaido, as far south as Okinawa, and overseas in places such as Malaysia.
We started out knowing nothing at all about AR, but thanks to LIQUID DESIGN's precise advice and cooperation we were able to finish a work we are truly satisfied with. Thank you very much.
