[LIQUID AR] AR Workshop Event "Mosou Uchu in Yonago" at Tottori Prefectural Budokan

LIQUID DESIGN Ltd., the company behind LIQUID AR, will co-host the AR workshop event "Mosou Uchu in Yonago" together with Kotobuki Seika Co., Ltd., maker of the famous confection "Inaba no Shirousagi", on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the Tottori Prefectural Budokan (Yonago City).
The event is produced by the art unit Moso Koen.

An AR workshop event to enjoy creating and imagining

Mosou Uchu in Yonago, Tottori Prefectural Budokan

The theme is outer space — a natural fit for Tottori, the "Hoshitori Prefecture" said to have Japan's most beautiful starry skies. Each participant freely builds their own spaceship, and a never-before-seen universe is projected through their smartphones and tablets: an AR workshop event for enjoying both creation and imagination.

Purpose of the event

Creating an opportunity to experience AR (augmented reality) technology within the rapidly evolving world of XR
Creating an opportunity to feel closer to art that expresses free ideas, through hands-on making
Creating an opportunity to take an interest in Tottori's nature (its starry skies) and the Inaba no Shirousagi (White Hare of Inaba) legend

Event content

Each participant builds a spaceship using a plastic cup. They decorate it with materials of their choice, such as tissue paper and pipe cleaners, to complete a spaceship all their own. One of the materials is an AR marker, so participants can even place an AR character aboard the spaceship they built.
In addition, "Mosou Uchu", an AR experience prepared specially for this event, appears through participants' smartphones and tablets. Participants can take photos and videos together with the spaceship they made and the scenery around the venue, and play freely in the world of AR.

"Inaba no Shirousagi" 55th anniversary campaign

We have also prepared a campaign so that those who cannot attend the event can enjoy AR as well.
As part of the "Inaba no Shirousagi" 55th anniversary campaign, it is an AR experience featuring a cute white rabbit. Post a fun photo of the white rabbit AR on Instagram and four selected entrants will receive an "Inaba no Shirousagi 55th Anniversary Package". We look forward to seeing your wonderful photos.
