Scan the QR code on the box of "Natsumikan Langue de Chat", sold at the Dannoura parking area, and the AR recognizes the subject so you can take a fun AR photo that looks like you are wearing a pufferfish.
By attaching a QR code to the confectionery box and adding the value of "enjoying an original AR photo", they were able to develop a new retail approach.
Comment: We introduced AR because we wanted to evolve "souvenirs" into "memory gifts" and create new value.
This time we introduced face-recognition AR. We planned it hoping that face-recognition AR photos would let customers enjoy memories of their trip both on the way home before opening the box and after eating the sweets.
The Dannoura parking area also supported this project and secured shelf space for us.
We hope many customers will pick up "Natsumikan Langue de Chat" and make it part of a fun travel memory.
